LOT 31: Rosie Truckin Chex

Maybellene aka Rosie Truckin Chex a 2015 sorrel mare with a bald face and one blue eye. Her pedigree is packed with outstanding black-type horses, including her sire - NMSU Truckin Chex - a SIX-time world champion CowHorse that showed for 13 consecutive years and won over $200k. He is by Nu Chex to Cash (by Nu Cash) whose dam was an own daughter of CJ Sugar, one of the most underrated, great- producing sires out there. Maybellene’s dam was an own-daughter of million dollar + producing sire Rowdy Yankee, son of Smart Chic Olena himself and his dam, Nita Chex, is on the NRHA all-time leading producer list. Her maternal granddam is an own-daughter of Topsail Cody and out of an own-daughter of King Fritz. Maybellene is a sweet, handy, do-it-all sort of mare. She has a strong CowHorse foundation and has all the fancy buttons to stop, spin, change leads and work a cow. She has an outstanding, correct foundation to take the next step as a jammin’ barrel horse, about ready to jackpot on and I have been heeling on her. We just started breakawaying and putting the foundation on to head steers as well. She’s been ridden outside quite a bit, ridden in the ocean, tolerates my bareback shenanigans and is not overly spooky or reactive. She’s very gentle; never offered to buck in the over 3 years I’ve owned her, but she is a typical CowHorse in that she’s feely and sensitive and she prefers a soft hand. She will leave her grain to meet me at the gate and is always down to do anything. She’s sound, has clean legs, stands just under 15hh and weighed 1106lbs when I had her at the vet to have her teeth done. She’s lived in a trainer’s barn her whole life and I am the first owner (after her breeder). She’s always been correctly maintained with regular shoeing, teeth, chiropractic, etc. Her full brother is our favorite real deal switch-ender currently and we know many others from her sire are doing phenomenally. Her consistently proven genetics make me believe she’d be a great broodmare prospect in addition to a riding horse. Maybellene is ready to go on to the next chapter of her life in whatever direction you want to go.
